VIENNA, GA - Ms. Doris Beavers, 76, of Vienna, GA, passed away Monday, March 21, 2016 at Warner Robins Rehabilitation. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma, GA. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Lilly Baptist Church in Lilly, GA. Rev. Chuck Keenan and Rev. Ed Sandefur will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery in Lilly, GA.

Ms. Beavers was born July 13, 1939 in Macon County, GA to the late J.W. Middlebrooks and Margaret Raper Middlebrooks. She worked at The Citizen & Georgian, MediQuip, Doctors Pharmacy, and Wal-Mart in Cordele.

Ms. Beavers is survived by her companion, W.D. Crook of Lilly, GA; her son, Allen Scott Beavers of Vienna, GA, and his friend, Amber Tanner, of Douglas, GA; three sisters: Lillian M. Gresham of Byromville, GA, Barbara (Ed) Davis of Perry, GA, and Gail (Leroy) Singleton of Perry, GA; and four brothers: Willie E. Middlebrooks of Perry, GA, Jimmy David (Freida) Middlebrooks of Enigma, GA, Danny (Elaine) Middlebrooks of Perry, GA, and Larry (Rebecca) Middlebrooks of Montezuma, GA; and former daughter-in-law, Donna Beavers. She also leaves behind three grandchildren: Brian Beavers, Bradley Beavers, and McKenzie Beavers; and a host of nieces and nephews.
