Donna Ann Thompson

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma, GA. A graveside service is scheduled for 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at New Providence Baptist Church Cemetery, 197 Providence Church Rd., Buena Vista, GA. Bro. David Chapman will officiate the service.
Mrs. Thompson was born April 6, 1966 in Americus, GA, to Betty Welch (Dwight) Edgington and the late Jerry Hobbs. She was an avid gardener and loved plants and flowers. Mrs. Thompson was a member of Double Branch Baptist Church in Unadilla, GA.
Mrs. Thompson is survived by her husband, Anthony Ty Thompson of Hawkinsville, GA; three children: Jake Thompson of Hawkinsville, GA, Blase Leverett and his girlfriend Kate of Savannah, GA, and Danielle Church and her husband Wayne of Buena Vista, GA; and her mother, Betty Edgington and her husband Dwight of Xenia, IL. Also surviving are three half-sisters: Michelle Sports of Seale, AL, Tammy Cobb of Ellaville, GA, and Tonya Woznick of Lawrenceville, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
