Mrs. Miller was born in Perry, Georgia on January 25, 1947 to the late Aubrey Edward Harris, Sr. and Helen McElheney Harris. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved animals and enjoyed working with plants.Mrs. Miller was employed as a truck driver with Advanced Drainage System in Perry, Georgia and earlier in her career, worked as a beautician.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 4, 2018 in the Chapel of Watson-Mathews Funeral Home and Rev. Michael Truitt will officiate.The family will receive friends on hour prior to the service.Burial will follow at Bertha Dozier Memorial Park in Montezuma, Georgia.
She is survived by her husband, James Lamar Miller, Sr., of Montezuma, Georgia; one son, Jimmy Miller and wife, Tammy of Montezuma, Georgia; one brother, A. E. Harris, Jr. and wife, Elizabeth of Montezuma, Georgia.Also surviving are three grandchildren; Brianna Kelley and husband, Blake of Perry, Georgia, Trey Miller and Megan Miller both of Montezuma, Georgia, along with many nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be given in memory of Mrs. Diane Miller to the Americus Animal Shelter, 108 Industrial Blvd, Americus, Georgia 31719 or Phoebe Sumter Hospice, P.O. Box 1434, Americus, Georgia 31709.
