Services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 23, 2017 in the Chapel of Watson Mathews Funeral Home.Family will receive friends from 11:00 until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
A graveside service will follow at 4:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery in Adel, Georgia.
He was born on March 8, 1960 in Jacksonville, Georgia to Carolyn Sumner Phillips and the late Van W. Phillips, Sr.Mr. Phillips owned and operated Carolyn's Restaurant for over twenty years and most recently Phillips Real Estate.
Survivors include his wife, Rosa Phillips of Montezuma, Georgia; his mother, Carolyn Sumner Phillips of Adel, Georgia; one son, Robert Phillips of Owyhee, Nevada; one daughter, Ondrea Zink of Perry, Georgia; two brothers, Ricky Phillips (Melanie) of Adel, Georgia and Van W. Phillips, Jr., (Kathy) of Dawson, Georgia.Also surviving are three stepchildren: Juan Marin, Victor Marin (Ana) and Christian Marin; five grandchildren: Keeley Lelani Bahe, Kenna Evening Star Zink, Kyra Lin Zink, Ashlyn Two Feathers Zink and Adelyn Wind Sky Zink and three step-grandchildren: Victor Marin, Jr., Carlos Marin and Genesis Marin and best friend, Dave Stewart of Cummings, Georgia.
Flowers will be accepted.
