MONTEZUMA, GA - Mr. Darald Richard "Tim" Wallace, 88, of Montezuma, Georgia, formerly from Saginaw, Michigan, entered into rest Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at Montezuma Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Per his wishes, he will be cremated and no services will be held.
Born February 28, 1931 in Saginaw, Michigan, he was the son of the late Charles R. Wallace and Dorothy Mae McCullen.A proud veteran, he served his country as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division in the U.S. Army where he earned his wings.Later he worked as a heavy equipment mechanic until retirement. He enjoyed bowling, golf, playing cards and pool.He also loved his cats "Scooter", "Mr. C." and "Buffer" He lived life on his terms… to the beat of his own drum.
His memory will forever be treasured by his two daughters: Julie Anne Wallace and husband, David Gawlick of Oglethorpe, Georgia; Lynnette McAuley and husband, Gary of Merrill, Michigan; a lifelong friend, Brandon Chrysler; a grandson, Shawn C. Schneerand fianc, Ashley Goslin of Saginaw, Michigan; two step- granddaughters: Becky C. McAuley and Stacey McAuley both of North Carolina.He is preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Wallace; a son, Corey Wallace and a daughter, Tracie Lynn Wallace.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Montezuma Health & Rehabilitation Center, 506 Sumter St., Montezuma, Georgia 31063.
