Danny was born in Montezuma to the late J.W. and Lilly Margaret Raper Middlebrooks. He went to Macon County High School, was on their basketball team, and graduated in 1971. He soon began working for J.W. Brand at Brand Septic Tank Service. Danny quickly learned the trade and just sixteen short years later, Mr. Brand passed away, and Danny bought the business. He always worked hard to serve the families and businesses in need, as well as to provide for his family, becoming an expert through the years. He married the love of his life, Elaine Peavy, and they raised their three daughters in Montezuma. He was a long-time member of Cedar Valley Baptist Church and was delighted to return and visit old friends from time to time. Early in life, Danny enjoyed some of his free time deer hunting and fishing. But as he grew older, he gave up hunting and just went fishing whenever time allowed. Danny and Elaine lived in Perry for the past twenty-five years. Danny spent most of his days laboring at his company or outside their family home maintaining the beautiful landscape they had worked so hard to attain. Once their grandchildren came along, he spent time and made memories with them as much as possible. He attended The Way Baptist Church in Perry.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents; and four siblings, Doris Beavers, Willie Middlebrooks, Jimmie Middlebrooks, and Barbara Davis.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Danny are his loving and devoted wife of fifty-one years, Elaine Middlebrooks of Kathleen; his daughters and sons-in-law, Crystal and Dale Thorn of Perry, Danielle and Jarrod Clark of Madison, and Michelle and Josh Grube of Bonaire; his grandchildren who lovingly referred to him as Papa, Chasen Thorn, Madelaine Thorn, Connor Clark, Emerson Clark, Keller Peaster, Tate Peaser, Dani Reese Grube, and Hayes Grube; his siblings, Lillian Gresham of Byromville, Gail Singleton of Madison, and Larry Middlebrooks (Rebecca) of Montezuma; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com.
Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry, GA has been entrusted with the arrangements.
