Clyde Lewis Skipper, age 79, of Marshallville, GA passed away, Monday, September 6, 2010 in the Flint River Hospital.
Graveside funeral services, with military honors, will be held Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Marshallville City Cemetery Mausoleum. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday morning, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
Clyde was born on June 8, 1931 in Marshallville, GA to the late William Ellis Skipper and Jessie Newberry Skipper. Mr. Skipper lived in Marshallville for all of his adult life. He was a veteran of the Korean War and retired from Robins Air Force Base but continued to work with Murph Farms for many years. Mr. Skipper, affectionately known to his grandchildren and nieces as "Papa", was an avid reader, loved to surf the television channels, deer hunting and fishing when his health permitted. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Marshallville.
