MARSHALLVILLE, GA - Claudia Pearson Holmes, age 91, formerly of Crawford Co., GA, passed away Friday, December 12, 2014 at The Oaks Nursing and Personal Care Home in Marshallville, GA. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, December 13, 2014 in the chapel of Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma, GA. Mrs. Holmes will be interred at Bertha Dozier Memorial Park in Montezuma, GA.

Mrs. Holmes was born December 29, 1922 in Zenith, GA to the late W.E. Pearson and Claira Jo Slappey. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Holmes was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Holmes.

Mrs. Holmes is survived by her son, Rudy (Lynn) Cannon of Roberta, GA, and her daughter, Nan McLane of Beaufort, SC; three sisters: Norma Jo Hodges of Montezuma, GA, Patty (Owen) Davis of Ft. Valley, GA, and Pearle Seale of Huntsville, AL. She also leaves behind four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
