A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 30, 2019 in the Chapel of Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma, Georgia. Rev. Jonathan Beckum, Pastor of Montezuma United Methodist Church will be officiating.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service.
Mrs. Queener was born on August 12, 1927 in Newnan, Georgia to the late Clyde Pauline Johnson Crawford and Luke Roberson Crawford. She was preceded in death by three brothers and six sisters.
She was a homemaker, a member of Montezuma United Methodist Church and an avid golfer.
Survivors include her loving husband, Sam Hicks Queener of Montezuma, Georgia; two children, Hicks Queener (Sharon) of Byron, Georgia and Cecile Turpin (Clark) of Perry, Georgia; two grandchildren, Brian Hicks Queener (Hilary) and Michelle Renee' Queener and one great grandchild, Taylor Leigh Queener.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Montezuma United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 159, Montezuma, Georgia 31063 or Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
