A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, May 7, 2012 at the Ideal Baptist Church with Rev. Sidney Clay officiating. Burial will follow in Swearingen cemetery near Byromville, GA.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the church on Monday.
She was born on April 30, 1932 in Macon, GA to the late Charles and Mae Harris. She was a faithful member of Ideal Baptist Church and retired from Landlubber Garment Factory. She loved flowers and attending her church, until her declining health kept her from attending.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harvey J. Barlow, Sr. and daughter, Brenda Redding.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Brown and her husband Dean of Cordele, GA; son, Harvey J. Barlow, Jr. and his wife Debbie of Virginia Beach, VA; four grandchildren, Amanda Leishman, Jennifer Barlow, Miranda Delpozo and Glen Redding, Jr., three step grandchildren, Melissa Poole, Karen Poole and Michael Jacobs; four great grandchildren, Breanna Kitchens, Claire Revell, Brylie Redding, Ava Delpozo and a step great granddaughter, Denise Wilson.
Watson-Mathews Funeral Home of Montezuma is in charge of funeral arrangements.
