MONTEZUMA, GA - Mr. Charlie Wilmer Tisdale, age 74, of Montezuma, GA passed away Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the Montezuma Health & Rehabilitation Center.

The family will honor his request for cremation. Burial of his cremains will be in Macedonia Methodist Church Cemetery in Rose Hill, Alabama at a later date.

Mr. Tisdale was born on November 18, 1942 in Rose Hill, Alabama to the late Estelle Hudson Tisdale and John Edward Tisdale. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. He graduated from Troy State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Teaching. He taught school in Fort Oglethorpe, GAfor three years and D.F. Douglas School in Montezuma for fifteen years. After retiring from teaching, he worked for Harvey's Supermarket in Montezuma.

Survivors include his loving wife, Marion Wilson Tisdale; one son, Mark Tisdale; one sister,Marjorie Wilder and her husband Tony; two brothers, John Hollis Tisdale and his wife Donna; Henry Farrel Tisdale and his wife Lygia; several nieces and nephews also survive.
