OGLETHORPE, GA - Mr. Charlie William "Buckshot" Hobbs, age 80, of Oglethorpe, GA passed away Saturday night, February 15, 2014 at the Miona Geriatric and Dementia Center in Ideal, GA.
Family and friends will meet at 1:45 PM Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014 at Pine Level Cemetery for a graveside service and interment at 2:00 PM. Rev. Joey Cannon will officiate.
Family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service at the cemetery.
Charlie will lie in state for viewing at the funeral home until 1:00 PM on Tuesday.
Charlie was born on January 16, 1934 in Butler, GA to the late William Hobbs and Etta Childree Hobbs. He was a member of Pine Level United Methodist Church and a retired farmer. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Adel Lewis Hobbs and a step son, Albert Jackson Youngblood, Jr.
Survivors include his step children, Edward Youngblood and his wife Saundra of Douglas, GA and Deborah Youngblood Law and her husband Bobby of Elko, GA; 6 step grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren also survive.
