Mrs. Melton was born October 8, 1951 in Montezuma, GA to the late Phil Travis Peaster and Helen Bartlett Peaster. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin sons, Brad & Chad Melton, brother, Travis Peaster and sister, Cathy Peaster Hobbs.
Mrs. Melton is survived by her children, Eric (Jennifer) Melton and Dana (Eric) McClure, all of Oglethorpe, GA and Stephen King of Hobe Sound, FL; seven grandchildren, Kendall McClure, Jessie Melton, Corby McClure, Flint Melton, Whitney King, Ashley King, and Victoria King; and one great-grandchild, Scarlett Corrigan. Survivors also include her three brothers, David (Darlene) Peaster, Sr. of Warner Robins, GA, Lonnie (Helen) Peaster of Montezuma, GA, and Robert (Debbie) Peaster of Andersonville, GA. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
