OGLETHORPE, GA - Carl Lee Oliver, age 44, of Oglethorpe, GA passed away Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Flint River Hospital from complications with cancer.
Visitation was held Monday, August 6, 2012 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Whitewater Baptist Church in Oglethorpe with Rev. Chris Hall officiating. Burial followed in Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens.
Serving as active pallbearers were Todd Simmons, Doug Hawk, Cleveland Hobbs, Darryl Hobbs, Kenny Bearden and Scott Simmons. Frito Lay employees served as honorary pallbearers.
Mr. Oliver was born October 10, 1967 in Montezuma, Ga to Lonnie and Charlene Oliver. He was a member of Whitewater Baptist Church and was employed by Frito Lay.
Mr. Oliver is survived by his parents, Lonnie and Charlene Oliver of Oglethorpe, Ga; two daughters, Jessica Oliver of East Dublin, Ga and Katherine Elizabeth Oliver of Thomaston, Ga; and a brother, John Todd (Mary) Oliver of San Antonio, TX.
Watson-Mathews Funeral Home of Montezuma was in charge of funeral arrangments.
