Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home.There will be a second visitation one hour prior to the service on Thursday, October 5, 2017.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 P.M., Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the Watson-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel in Montezuma, Georgia with Reverend Sidney Clay officiating.
A private graveside service will follow at Andersonville National Cemetery.
Brenda was born September 14, 1948 in Chattanooga, TN to the late Obie Lee "Blue" Coody and Lola Mae Sanders Coody.Brenda grew up in Cochran, Georgia, moved to Montezuma in 1965 and graduated from Macon County in 1966.Over the years, she worked for the Civil Service at Warner Robins Airforce Base, Lajes Field Azores Portugal Civil Service, Riverside Hospital in Montezuma, Georgia and the State Probation Office in Oglethorpe, Georgia.Mrs. Brenda was also a member of the Ideal Baptist Church in Ideal, Georgia.
Memories of Brenda will be cherished by a loving a grateful family including her husband James Doyle Moore of Perry, Georgia; one daughter, Jaime Nicole Moore of Perry, Georgia; one brother, Wayne Lee Coody and his wife Diane of Ideal, Georgia; and one sister, Melissa Lee Layfield and her husband Eddie of Oglethorpe, Georgia.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Lung Cancer Foundation at www.americancancerfund.org.
