Mrs. Bobbie S. Hutto, age 86, passed away Friday, July 30, 2021, at Pruitt Health Nursing Home, Swainsboro, Georgia.Mrs. Hutto was born June 10, 1935, to the late Mr. Charlie Andrew Singletary and Mrs. Eva Jane Wright Singletary in Cordele, Georgia.She is the widow of Guilford "Ron" Hutto and was the last surviving sibling of brothers Charlie Bert Singletary, Robert Singletary, Herbert Singletary, R.E. Singletary, Donald Singletary, and Willie Singletary and sisters Lucille Mason, Addie Maude White, Allene Harvey, Betty Newsome, and Faye Daniels.
Ms. Hutto is survived by a daughter, Connie Murphey (Pat) of Statesboro, Georgia, and two sons, Ben Griggs of Macon, Georgia; Victor Griggs (Debra) of Bonaire, Georgia; grandchildren, Victoria Thompson of Columbus, Georgia; Derek Griggs (Ashley) of Bonaire, Georgia; Nicole Mowen (Tyler) of Columbia, SC; Kimberly Southers (Sean) of Ironton, Ohio; Charles Patrick Murphey (Joycelyn) of Langley, BC, Canada; Clif Murphey (Bram) of Los Angeles, CA; and six great-grandchildren, Madison, Mckenzie and Jade Thompson of Columbus, Georgia; Parker and Jude Mowen of Columbia, SC; Matthew Southers of Ironton, Ohio, and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Hutto grew up in Montezuma, Georgia, and dearly loved her family.She was a retired nurse and an active member of Hopewell United Methodist Church, Valley, Alabama.She will be remembered as a loving mother, wife, and granny.
Memorial services are scheduled for 2 p.m. August 21 at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. Whit Kirkland officiating.Mrs. Hutto's ashes will be interred next to Ron, her beloved husband, at Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery, Valley, Alabama at a later date.
