Mr. Billy James Thompson, Jr., age 44, of Oglethorpe, Georgia, formerly of Opelika, Alabama, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Serenity Place in Dublin, GA from lung cancer.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM (Central Standard Time) Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Garden Hill Cemetery, 1218 Frederick Avenue, Opelika, Alabama with Jason Roberts officiating.
Family and friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery at 1:45 PM.
Mr. Thompson was born on January 15, 1974 in Opelika, Alabama to the late Billy James Thompson, Sr and Janice Cooper Thompson. He was a day laborer with Auburn University, before his sickness. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his mother, Janice C. Thompson, of Oglethorpe, GA; two brothers, Ronald Douglas Watkins (Shauna) of Huntsville, AL, Christopher Lee Thompson (Lindsey) of Auburn, AL; three sisters, Grace Banks (Rusty) of Opelika, AL, Karen Flournoy (Alan) of Opelika, AL and Carla Davis (Clint) of Gulf Shores, AL; several nieces and nephews also survive.
