OGLETHORPE, GA - Mr. Billy Earl Kelley, age 85, of Oglethorpe, GA, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015 at his residence. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Whitewater Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Simmons officiating. The family will receive friends immediately after the service in the fellowship hall.

Mr. Kelley was born May 31, 1930 in Oglethorpe, GA to the late Willie Kelley and Martha Bentley Kelley. He was a United States Army veteran and served in the Korean War. Mr. Kelley was a Deacon and faithful member of Whitewater Baptist Church; and in his spare time he enjoyed hunting and fishing. In addition to his parents, Mr. Kelley was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirlene Thornton Kelley.

Mr. Kelley is survived by his children: Curtis Kelley and Kathy (Jimmy) Windham, both of Oglethorpe, GA; and four grandchildren: Cory Kelley, Tinsley Kelley, Connor Windham, and Leah Windham.
