Billy Joe Harris, age 47, of Smithville, GA passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2008.
Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday, Dec. 11, at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Friday, Dec. 12, in the chapel of Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma with Rev. Ralph Price and Rev. Johnny Cromer officiating. Burial will follow in the Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
He was born on February 5, 1961 in Macon County, GA to the late J.R. Harris and Hazel Cromer Harris. He was of the Pentecostal faith and a member of Cairo First Assembly of God. He is preceded in death by his brother, Wally Harris.
Survivors include, two daughters, Erika Ruth Harris and Clarissa Harris both of Panama City, FL; three sons, Kenny Harris of Oglethorpe, GA, Ray Ray Harris of Cordele, GA, Michael Newsome of Panama City, FL; two sisters, Brenda and Curtis Brown of Cairo, GA; Sharon Brown of Smithville, GA, future brother-in-law, Martin Larson; another brother-in-law, Bobby Brown; and several nieces and nephews.
