Born May 21, 1942, in Montezuma, Georgia, he was the son of the late Horace Brown Bartlett and Ruby Adams Bartlett.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 3, 2021, at Bertha Dozier Memorial Park in Montezuma. The family will receive friends at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home one hour prior to the service.
He was a member of Stillwater Chapel and worked in the construction field as an independent contractor.
Mr. Billy Bartlett will lie in state for viewing from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 2, 2021, at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home.
Survivors include two children: William Thomas Bartlett (Candis) of Gray, Georgia and Sandra Lynn Goodwin of Cordele, Georgia; a brother, Johnny Bartlett (Donna) of Oglethorpe, Georgia; seven grandchildren: David Lewis Goodwin, Destiny Brooke Goodwin, Tyler Michael Bartlett, Kelly Nicole Collier (Jarrod) and Krista Lauren Lyons (Otis) and his mother-in-law, Doris Layfield Miller of Marshallville, Georgia; Also, surviving are eight great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Evie Bartlett, and two siblings: Lillian Day and Jimmy Bartlett.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Stillwater Chapel, 3550 Highway 240 West, Ideal, Georgia 31041.
