Oglethorpe, GA - Betty Wylene Webb, 63, of Oglethorpe, Georgia passed away Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Heritage Hospice in Marietta, Georgia.
Visitation will be held Sunday, February 12, 2012 from 6 to 8 pm at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 13, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Mt. Zion- St. Luke Lutheran Church in Oglethorpe with Pastor Harry Tedrow officiating.
Burial will follow at Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Ms. Webb was born August 18, 1948 to the late Wiley Eugene Webb, III and Betty Smith Webb. She earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Education at Georgia Southwestern in Americus and went on to earn an advanced degree at Valdosta State University. She was a teacher at Southland Academy and also served as Principal of Macon County High School. She was an accomplished basketball and tennis coach, winning state tennis championship titles nine out of twelve years. Her tennis record includes 427 wins, 81 losses, and 89 ties. She was also a member of the Living Loving Lutherans.
Ms. Webb is survived by a sister and three brothers; Donna Susan Webb of Kennesaw, Georgia; Wiley Eugene Webb IV of Dahlonega, Georgia; Anthony Keith Webb and his wife Judy of Clyde, North Carolina; and Kenneth Mark Webb Sr. and his wife Terry of Dahlonega, Georgia. She is also survived by several aunts and uncles; Helen Farris of Macon, Georgia; Martha Ann Davis of Jefferson, Georgia; Arlen & Arlene Rohl of Eutawville, South Carolina; six nephews, Craig Patton Lauderdale, Kenneth Mark Webb, Jr., Steven Kyle Webb, John Thomas Webb, Zachary Wayne Webb, Jacob Alexander Webb; several great nieces and nephews, Nathan Bradley Webb, Taylor Brynn Lauderdale, Landon Lane Lauderdale, and Joseph Daniel Webb.

Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma is in charge of funeral arrangements.
