Betty Nelson

Mrs. Nelson was born January 15, 1930 in Crawford County, GA, to the late John Feltz Irby and Minnie Lou Andrews Irby. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, J.B. Nelson; seven siblings; daughter-in-law, Carey Nelson and her grandson, Jason Bray. Mrs. Nelson worked as school secretary for many years and retired from Macon County Board of Education.
Mrs. Nelson is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law: Reese & Carole Nelson of Valdosta, GA, Randy & Wendy Nelson of Montezuma, GA, and Wade & Joy Nelson of Montezuma, GA; seven grandchildren: Paul (Lynn) Nelson, Sarah (Michael) Wells, Lesley Nelson, Ryan (Brittaney) Nelson, Brittany Nelson (Joey) Albritton, Jennifer Bray Timmons and Candace Taylor. She also leaves behind eleven great-grandchildren: Nathan Jacobs, Annabeth Nelson, Abigail Wells, Audrey Wells, Bennett Nelson, Olivia Bray, Landyn Bray, J.B. Albritton, Hunter Albritton, Emma Timmons, and Brayden Timmons.
