The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 2 at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home. At other times, the family may be contacted at the residence, 507 Travelers Rest Road in Montezuma.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, October 3 at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will immediately follow in Bertha Dozier Memorial Park in Montezuma, GA.
Serving as pallbearers are Ricky Deloach, Grady Deloach, Randy Deloach, Dewayne Wheeler, Wayne Wheeler and Jimmy Meadows.
She was born on June 10, 1944 in Henderson, GA to the late William Grady Wheeler and Lillie Ruby Womack Wheeler. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She loved to go to yard sales and to work in her garden and flower beds. She was preceded in death by her sister, Jane Deloach and two brothers, Clint and William Wheeler.
Survivors include her loving husband of 49 years, Ray Woodruff of Montezuma, GA; four children, Becky Woodruff of Cordele, GA, Andy Woodruff and his wife Dawn of Lawrenceville, GA, Teresa Neisler of Byromville, GA and Melody Smith and her husband Billy of Americus, GA; a sister, Lois Holloway and her husband Hugh of Warner Robins, GA; a brother, John Edward Wheeler of Louisiana;seven grandchildren, Nikki Mallard, Nicholas Neisler, Cami Neisler, Joshua Smith, Caleb Smith, McCall Woodruff and Bryson Woodruff;her four cats, Happy, Sylvester, Tiger and Charlie; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive.
Watson-Mathews Funeral Home of Montezuma, GA is in charge of funeral arrangements.
