Aughtry Ann Brownett

February 28, 1936 — October 1, 2009

Aughtry Ann Averill Brownett, age 73 of St. Augustine, FL, formerly of Montezuma, GA, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2009.

Funeral services were held at 2 P.M. Sunday, Oct. 4, at the Montezuma United Methodist Church with Rev. Nancylee Cater officiating. Burial followed in Felton Cemetery in Montezuma.

Visitation with family began at 1:30 P.M. at the church.

She was born on February 28, 1936 to the late George E. Averill and Aughtry Oliver Averill. She was a retired school librarian.

Survivors include her two sons and one daughter-in-law, Hal Brownett of St. Augustine, FL; George and Tracye Brownett of St. Augustine, FL; brother, George Averill of Cataula, GA and three grandchildren, Erin Brownett, Christopher Brownett and Andrew Brownett.
