OGLETHORPE, GA -Mrs. Annie Ruth Bellew, a resident of The Oaks Nursing Home, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Monday, May 27, 2013 at Cedar Valley Baptist Church. Visitation will precede the service on Monday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the church. Burial will immediately follow the funeral service at Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Bellew was born April 15, 1929 in Andersonville, Ga to the late Henry Clay Avery and Odessa Bowens Avery. She was a Christian, loved to sing, and loved being with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy Bellew; her second husband, Thurston Faulk; her son, Ronnie Bellew; and her brother, Billy Avery.
Survivors include her children, Jimmy (Mary Jane) Bellew of Andersonville, Ga, Dorothy (Johnny) Bodiford of Garden Valley, Ga, Wayne (Cindy) Bellew of Oglethorpe, Ga, Beverly (Ricky) Robbins of Montezuma, Ga; her step-children, Wayne (Marie) Faulk of Cordele, Ga, Marilyn (Jay) Griffin of Oglethorpe, Ga, and Shirley (Mike) Minchew of Ideal, Ga. She also leaves behind brothers & sisters, Charles (Mary) Avery of Americus, Ga, Leonard Avery of Oglethorpe, Ga, Bernice Felker of Oglethorpe, Ga, Imogene (Billy) Law of Oglethorpe, Ga, and Eugene (Irene) Avery of Oglethorpe, Ga, a step-brother, Wanzie (Laquita) Collins of Macon, Ga, two step-sisters, Sandra Rowland of Warner Robins, Ga, and Linda (George) Clark of Byron, Ga; ten grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, six step-great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandsons.
