Juliette, GA - Mr. Alvin Terrell "Willie" Bellew, age 93, of Juliette, GA, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2010 at The Oaks Nursing and Personal Care Home in Marshallville, GA. Mr. Bellew was born February 5, 1917, the son of the late, Dozier D. Bellew and Mary Etta Allen Bellew.

Services will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday (June 15, 2010) in the Chapel of Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma with Rev. Sidney Jones officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow in Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Oglethorpe, GA.

At other times, the family will be at the home of Jack and Carol Bellew, 602 Gordon Street, Oglethorpe, GA.

He lived in Oglethorpe for many years and served in the CCC Camp in his early years. He was in the timber business and was a retired mechanic with Atlanta Sand & Supply in Roberta, GA after 24 years.

He was preceded in death by his wives, Jeanette Bowen Bellew and Hortense Daniel Lassitter Bellew; brothers, Jessie Bellew, Homer Bellew, Roy Bellew and William Bellew; sisters, Doris Bellew Jones and Ruby Bellew Gray and grandson, Robbie Bellew.

Survivors include his son, Jack (Carol) Bellew of Oglethorpe, GA; three daughters, Shirley (Charles) Holland of Oglethorpe, GA, Betty Bellew Kare of Juliette, GA, Michele Bellew Felker of Reynolds, GA; 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren; step-daughter, Jackie (Herchel) Gentry of Roberta, GA; step-son, Rickey Lassitter of Augusta, GA; sister, Mary E. Burns of Dahlonega, GA; brother, Turner (Ann) Bellew, Puyallup, Washington; Several nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors also survive.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions made to The Oaks Nursing & Personal Care Home, Building Fund, 777 Nursing Home Road, Marshallville, GA 31057.
