Allie Ruth "Bopeep" Joiner Forsling

Allie Ruth "Bopeep" Joiner Forsling, age 78 of Montezuma, GA passed away Monday, October 5, 2009 at Flint River Hospital.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, Oct. 7, at First Baptist Church of Montezuma with Dr. Randy Gregg officiating. Interment followed in Bertha Dozier Memorial Park Cemetery in Montezuma.

Mrs. Forsling, born in Macon County and daughter of the late Coleman W. and Lizzie A. Hammock Joiner, lived in Montezuma all her life. Mrs. Forsling had worked for The Citizen and Georgian, The Macon County Board of Education, The Housing Authority of Macon County and Macon County Clerk of Superior Court. She was a Christian and a member of First Baptist Church of Montezuma.

She is survived by her husband, Walter C. Forsling of Montezuma, GA; children, Terri Duke Carroll (Ben) of Kissimmee, FL, Marvin E. Duke (Catherine) of Oglethorpe, GA; step-children, Mark W. Forsling (Susan) of Atlanta, GA, Karen Forsling of Charleston, S.C.; brother, William E. Joiner (Martha) of Montezuma, GA; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by siblings, Roy Joiner, James D. Joiner, Marvin Joiner, Fred C. Joiner, Carl E. Joiner, Annie Harpe, Dee P. Bosch, Mary Lou Hutchings and Jewell Ham.

Watson-Mathews Funeral Home of Montezuma was in charge of funeral arrangements.
