MONTEZUMA, GA - Mrs. Allene Barbee Lott, 87, of Montezuma, GA passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014 at her residence. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, May 2, 2014 at Andersonville National Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation. The family may be contacted at the residence, 207 Patricia Drive in Montezuma, GA.

Mrs. Lott was born May 19, 1926 in Louisville, KY to the late Chester Arthur Barbee and Florence Hughes Barbee. She was a homemaker and attended Montezuma United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Lott's survivors include her four daughters, Leslie Lott (Michael Moore) of Coral Gables, FL, Martha Ann Lott (John Jones) of Gainesville, FL, Sarah Lott of Portland, OR, and Allene (Jimmy) Cowan of Americus, GA. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren; Michael Moore, Jr., Emmett Moore, Sarah (Eric) Hutchinson Spalvins, Joe Sackett, Kate Sackett, Sam Cowan, Solomon Cowan, and David Cowan; and a host of nieces and nephews.
