OGLETHORPE, GA - Allen King Mitchell, age 45, of Oglethorpe, GA, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2015. Visitation is scheduled for 1 to 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Watson-Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Chapman and Rev. Randy Harris officiating. Per the family's request, those attending the services may wear casual or camouflage attire.

Mr. Mitchell was born September 16, 1969 in Orlando, FL, to Daniel Adrian Mitchell and the late Patricia Hopkins Mitchell. He was employed as an Installer at Caravelle Boats in Americus, GA.

Mr. Mitchell is survived by his wife, Lynn Mitchell of Ideal, GA, three children: Keely Mitchell of Ideal, GA, Amber Lee Mitchell Smith of Ocala, FL, and Jessica (Wade) Davis of Ideal, GA; his father, Daniel Adrian Mitchell of Ideal, GA; a sister, Amy Mitchell Woodcock of Ideal, GA, a brother, Randy Morgan Mitchell of Alpine, TX, and a brother-in-law, Terry (Belinda) Layfield of Ideal, GA. He also leaves behind three grandchildren: Derek Christopher Brewer, Sahara Lee Brewer, and Tanner Wade Davis; three nieces: Stephanie Woodcock, Casey Woodcock and Grace Layfield; and a nephew, Turner Layfield. A host of other family members and friends also survive.
