Alice Felker Joiner

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at Lockwood Cemetery in Ideal, Georgia.Rev. Johnny Brooks and Rev. John Homer will officiate.The family will receive friends immediately after the service.
Mrs. Alice will lie state for viewing at the funeral home on Monday, November 14, 2020, from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM. The family will not be present. Wearing masks are required to enter the funeral home.
Mrs. Alice was born November 16, 1923, in Ideal, Georgia to the late James Franklin Felker and Pauline Tarrer Felker.She was a faithful member of Ideal United Methodist Church and played the piano for the church for twenty- eight years.Mrs. Alice was the owner of Montezuma Beauty Shop for over 40 years.She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed her gardening and cooking.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her daughter, Paula Bridges of Perry, GA; five grandchildren: Gregory Keith Bridges (Kim) of Rutherfordton, N.C., Jeffrey Kemp Bridges (Edna) of Cumming, GA., Marvin Kerry Bridges (Heather) of Evans, GA., Coleman Todd Joiner (Deonna) of Lakeland, FL., and Kimberla Celeste Joiner of Lakeland, FL; a daughter-in-law, Sadie Joiner of Fruitland Park, FL.; Also surviving are five great-grandchildren: Cpl Kyle David Bridges, Rachel Leigh Joiner, Morgan Nicole Joiner, Caroline Alyssa Bridges, and Lily Anne Bridges, along with several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Alice is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marvin Coleman Joiner, her parents, Jimmy and Pauline Felker; her son, Hugh Joiner, and sister, Dorothy Felker Smith.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a memorial donation in memory of Mrs. Alice be made to Methodist Children's Home, 304 Pierce Avenue, Macon, Georgia 31204.
