Agnes Inez Thompson

Services will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Bakerfield Baptist Church in Byromville, Georgia.Brother Tony Workman, Brother Earl Collier, and Brother Danny Kimbrel will officiate. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Free Will Baptist Church in Reynolds, Georgia.
Mrs. Inez will lie in state on Saturday, September 26th from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.at Bakerfield Baptist Church.
Born January 31, 1936, Byromville, Georgia to the late Luther Collier and Zelma Lee Lockerman Collier. She retired from Southern Frozen Foods in Montezuma after 45 years of service. Mrs. Inez was a dedicated member of Bakerfield Baptist Church and song leader as well as many other jobs at the church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and working in her yards.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her brother, Earl Collier (Earlene) of Vienna, Georgia; two sisters: Joyce Betts of Oglethorpe, Georgia and Dianne Sutton of Tifton, Georgia; six grand-children:Rocky Thompson (Becky), Ryan Thompson, Shannon Brown, Andy Brown (Sara), John Brown (Katie) and Jenna Brown.Also surviving are fourteen great-grandchildren and her lovingly pet dog, Rena.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eugene "Possum" Thompson, her son, Mark Brown, stepson, Earl Thompson and sister, Mary Alice Wood.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Bakerfield Baptist Church, 10696 River Rd., Byromville, Georgia 31007.
