OGLETHORPE, GA - Mrs. Adel Lewis Hobbs, age 83, of Oglethorpe, GA passed away Thursday morning, August 2, 2012 at Flint River Hospital in Montezuma, GA.
Visitation was held held Friday, August 3, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home.
Funeral services were Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Pine Level United Methodist Church in Garden Valley with Rev. Joey Cannon and Rev. Lee Pettis officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Hobbs was born June 13, 1929 to the late Thomas Phillip and Dolly Victoria Peacock Lewis. She was affectionately known as "Mrs. Adel" and was a member of Pine Level United Methodist Church. She was retired from Bentley Construction and Lanier Pecans. She loved to read, and enjoyed flowers and butterflies. Mrs. Hobbs was preceded in death by her first husband, Albert Jackson Youngblood Sr.; two sisters and six brothers.
Mrs. Hobbs' survivors include her husband, Charlie "Buckshot" Hobbs of Oglethorpe; her children, Charles Edward (Saundra) Youngblood of Douglas, GA; Albert Jackson Youngblood, Jr. of Leslie, GA; and Deborah (Bobby) Law of Elko, GA; two half-brothers, Franklin (Alberta) Lewis of Warner Robins, GA and Phillip Lewis of Jackson, SC; and a half-sister, Faye Hackert of Cartersville, GA. She is also survived by six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma, Georgia was in charge of arrangements.
