Mrs. Addie Frances Amerson, 70, of Andersonville, Georgia passed away Thursday, July 28, 2022, at her residence.
Born September 23, 1951, in Metter, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late James Estis Collins and Addie Brown Collins. Addie loved spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing and Word-find books.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 1, 2022, in Watson-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Walnut Cemetery in Unadilla, Georgia. Rev. Tim Ferguson will be officiating the service.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 31, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her two children: Glen Lee Akridge (Brandy) of Andersonville, Georgia, and James Edward Akridge of Valdosta, Georgia and eight siblings: Brenda Sue (Corbin) of Butler, Georgia, Joyce James (Jerry) of Reynolds, Georgia, Linda Chandler (Robert) of Byron, Georgia, Louise Collins (Monty James) of Henderson, Georgia, Lucille Collins of Cordele, Georgia, James Estis Collins II (Karen) of Cordele, Georgia, Ronnie Collins (Linda) of Unadilla, Georgia, and Jimmy Collins (Audrey Bell) of Montezuma, Georgia. She also leaves behind thirteen grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Addie is preceded in death by her son, George Linwood Akridge, a sister, Bonnie Wainwright, and brother, Allan Collins.
