IDEAL, GA - Mrs. Ada Brewer Tarrer, age 96, of Ideal, GA, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday night, February 19, 2015. Visitation is scheduled for 1:30 p.m., Sunday, February 22, 2015 at Ideal Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. with Rev. Sidney Clay and Rev. Chris Hall officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the Ideal City Cemetery.
Mrs. Tarrer was born September 8, 1918 in Ellaville, GA to the late Bennett Brewer and Eula Albritton Brewer. She was preceded in death by her first husband, J.W. Tarrer, her second husband, J.C. Carpenter, a son, David C. Tarrer, three brothers: Fred Brewer, Marvin Brewer, and Flym Brewer; three sisters: Nan Peacock, Ida Wall, and Edna Stephens; and a granddaughter, Marcy Tarrer Massey.
Mrs. Tarrer is survived by two sons: Ronald (Virginia) Tarrer of Oglethorpe, GA, and Tony (Linda) Tarrer of Ideal, GA; and two sisters: Dot Hambrick of Ellaville, GA, and Geraldine Dillard of Ellaville, GA. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren: Terry (Kristine) Tarrer, Debra (Frank) Garriott, Von (Ben) Bartlett, Michelle Warren, Scott (Allison) Tarrer, Jason (Kyna) Tarrer, Janet (Derek) Peters, and Courtney (Casey) Willis; seventeen great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
